ROOTS & REVELRY:
A Harvest Dinner
October 7, 2018 | 5-9pm | RambleRill Farm
Farmer Foodshare's annual harvest dinner is back! Join us this fall on RambleRill Farm in Hillsborough as we celebrate our shared efforts to reshape the local food system.
The evening will feature a strolling supper featuring tastes from around the Triangle. Highlights include:
A lighthearted culinary experience with Aaron Vandemark of Panciuto, named by the James Beard Foundation as a Semifinalist: Best Chef, Southeast 2011-2016, and executive chef John Eisensmith of Black Twig Cider House.
Optional local beer and wine pairings
Live music by the Peter Lamb Trio
All money raised from this event will benefit Farmer Foodshare’s programming, bringing more fresh, nutritious food to students, families, and others in our community, while helping local family farmers succeed.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much are tickets?
Tickets are $90 for dinner and $110 for dinner and beer/wine pairings.
What do you mean by "strolling supper"?
Expect a full meal. You'll have the opportunity to enjoy tastes from a variety of stations, crafted by some of the Triangle's best purveyors. Each station will have wine and local beer pairings available, so if you'd like to complement your meal with these flavors, please choose the "dinner + drinks" option when buying your tickets. There will be seating available throughout, but it will be unassigned: the intent is to mix and mingle, see old friends and make new ones.
When should I arrive?
Plan to arrive at 5pm to enjoy a cocktail, take a stroll through the farm's grounds, and join the bidding in our silent auction. Dinner will begin around 6pm. No printed tickets are needed; please just check in with us at registration upon arrival.
What should I wear?
Let's call it "nice casual," perhaps. We'll be on a farm, so dress comfortably for the weather (we plan to dine outside, weather permitting) and choose shoes that you'll feel comfortable wearing while walking on gravel and grass.
What about parking?
Onsite parking will be available in an adjacent field. There will be a short walk on a gravel driveway from the parking area to the event site, which will be on uneven grassy terrain. Should anyone in your party have challenges with mobility, please let us know when purchasing tickets and notify a parking attendant upon arrival.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Again, let us know when purchasing tickets. The meal will feature meat and dairy, with some vegetarian options available. We likely can accommodate most health-related dietary restrictions as long as we know at least a week in advance.
Should I bring my kids?
While we love kids, this event is for the adults. Consider it a much-needed date night!
I can't come, but would love to support the event.
Thank you! There are two ways to participate:
Buy raffle tickets! The winner receives a pair of tickets to see the Duke men's basketball team take on UNC at the Dean Dome on March 9, 2019. Includes private transportation to and from the event! You can get these via the 'buy tickets' link above. Note that by law, raffle tickets are not tax-deductible.
To make a donation without attending, click the "buy tickets" link, and choose "donation ticket". Then enter the amount you would like to donate in the "donation" field below and proceed as above. Your confirmation email will sound like we think you're coming, but we'll know it's only in spirit.
