Darrell is one of several folks out on the road, driving the big trucks from our food hub to farms out west and down east and back again to bring fresh food to the community. He loves providing so many local businesses with NC-grown produce and takes great pride in being a part of supporting trusted local farmers with high standards for great, healthy food.

Some of the best fruit Darrell’s had are the Winterberries (aka tunnel-grown strawberries), which we have at our food hub every year!  

Darrell brings an important lesson from his military days with him to work every day: flexibility on the fly! Whether it’s a mid-route change or other adjustment to the schedule, he approaches everything with positive energy and a “whatever needs to be done” attitude.
